Documentation review experience:
- Over 7 years experience in clinical documentation review
- 5 of those spent instructing other nurses in appropriate documentation.
Experienced clinical nurse:
- 8 years emergency care nursing and/or ICU nursing
- 3 years hospital staff nursing and office nursing
- Nurse in National Guard and then U.S. Army
Management Experience:
- 3 years Regional Director of Clinical Services
- 2 years Director of Nursing Procedural and Academic
Writing:
- AALNC Core Text - Chapter Author 2008 LNC Principles and Practice (rewrote chapter on HMO & ERISA Litigation for forthcoming 3rd edition)
- Participated in writing annual department nurse competency test
- Wrote Diabetic Teaching Guide for use with home care patients, using the care path model
- Wrote and gave monthly Home Health Aide Inservices for 3 years
- Re-wrote Policy and Procedure Manual (appx. 800 pages)
- Assisted Dr. Mark Dambro with editing The Five Minute Clinical Consult.
